Coconut recovery “Cocktail”

In a blender, combine 1 cup coconut water, 1 tablespoon lime juice, and 1 teaspoon agave nectar. Mix well and add a few slices of cucumber (leave skin on if organic). Makes a great recovery drink.

Melon smoothie

In a blender, combine 3 cups cubed melon, a dozen fresh mint leaves, 1 tablespoon lime juice, a pinch of Himalayan salt, a pinch of coriander powder, and 1 or 2 teaspoons agave nectar. Mix well and add cool water to achieve desired consistency. Drink between meals, as a light breakfast, a snack, or a post exercise recovery drink. Substitute mango for melon for a different twist!

Lassi “date shake”

In a blender, combine 1 part yogurt, 4 parts water, a pinch of cardamom, a dozen fresh mint leaves, and 3 or 4 pitted dates –or 1 to 2 teaspoons of agave nectar. Mix well. Drink outside of meals, as for example a mid afternoon snack to boost your energy!

“CCF” tea

In a saucepan, heat 4 cups of water, 2 teaspoons cumin, 2 teaspoons coriander, and 2 teaspoons fennel. Filter and drink warm or cool. Add a little agave nectar or a pinch of stevia as needed. Drink after meals and throughout the day to boost digestion and regulate elimination.
